Detox and Destress

This one came about because of several influences - one of which is the film Jason and the 
Argonauts where Jason undoes the stopper on the ankle of the bronze giant Talos and his life force liquid flows out.

Sit down and relax. Put both feet on the floor and place your hands on your knees. Close your eyes. Imagine you can see yourself from outside of your body and that your body is a silhouette, a dark outline. Now look more closely and see that instead of just a dark outline, your body is like a see-through shell filled with a dark liquid.

 

The dark liquid represents all the negative thoughts, feelings and experiences you have inside you. Now imagine you can 'empty' yourself of this liquid by allowing the earth to absorb it all. The way I do this is to imagine holes opening in the soles of my feet and the liquid pouring out. Sit still, relax and 'open' the soles of your feet. Then feel some of the dark liquid seeping out.

 

A bubble travels  up your body from each foot and settles at the top of your head which becomes white now that some of the dark liquid has gone. Now imagine more liquid seeping out and draining away until you feel the liquid is at eye level and half your head is now white. Then more flows out and it's down to your chin, then your shoulders. All of your head and neck is now white.

The liquid can flow down your arms and pass through your hands into your knees, down your legs and then out. More flows out and you feel it at chest level.  More again and the liquid level is down at your stomach. Your upper arms are empty as well. You're half way there now with the top half of you white and the bottom black.
  

 

Still more flows out and soon your arms and whole upper part of your body is drained of the dark liquid. Just your legs are full now. The liquid is in full flow though and soon your thighs are empty and it's at your knees then your shins then your ankles and finally you feel the 
last drops emptying out of the soles of your feet. 
  

 

All your negative thoughts are gone now - dissipated out of you and absorbed into the earth below you. Open your eyes again when you're ready. 

This usually makes me feel refreshed and 'clean'. It's not very rational, but it works for me. As I said, the ideas and images I use are personal to me, so you might like to use colours instead of black and white or try and think of ways to "empty" yourself of your negative vibes that work better for you.
